One person has been seriously injured following a road crash in South East Clare.
The single car collision happened at Ballymorris, between Cratloe village and Setright’s Cross, shortly after seven o’clock this morning.
It’s understood that a car collided with a wall.
National Ambulance Service paramedics and units of Clare County Fire and Rescue Service from Shannon station responded to the scene along with Gardaí.
The road was immediately closed and a privacy scene erected around the vehicle pending the arrival of Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
An examination of the scene is expected to take place this morning.
The road is expected to remain closed for several hours and traffic is being diverted away from the scene via the Wood Road; Well Road and Sixmilebridge Road.
