An emergency road closure is in effect in West Clare.
Clare County Council has taken the decision to temporarily shut the R473-266 and R473-285 at Tarmon, Kilrush for urgent works.

Diversions are in place along the local road network at Dunniell and Burran Upper and on the R486 at Knock and Kilmore.
The roads will reopen on Thursday.
