A search and recovery operation set to resume today after a person was reported to have fallen from the Cliffs of Moher earlier this week.

A cliff-top search was conducted on Sunday evening in an effort to locate the casualty, believed to be at the base of the 700 foot cliffs, but the recovery operation was hampered by weather conditions over the coming days.

Members of the Irish Coast Guard, together with the Garda Sub Aqua and Air Support Units are due to re-commence the operation again later this morning and into the afternoon.
