Three people and their family pet have been assisted in Lough Derg, after their cruiser lost engine power and was blown onto the Clare shore of the lake.
Killaloe Coast Guard was dispatched at around half past three yesterday afternoon and on arrival at the scene, a crew member transferred to the vessel.
After all occupants were found to be safe and well and wearing lifejackets, the boat was safely towed back to Killaloe.

It was a busy weekend for Killaloe Coast Guard volunteers, who also responded to a missing person search late on Friday night and again Saturday morning – the missing person was found safe and well on Saturday.
