Body Discovered Off South Galway Coast

Gardaí say they’re awaiting the results of a post mortem examination before determining the course of an investigation into the discovery of a body off the coast of South County Galway.

Emergency services were alerted around 11.30am yesterday morning, after a person out walking reported a body washed up at Doorus, north of Kinvara.

Gardaí and units from the Galway Fire and Rescue Service responded to the scene and the remains of a female were subsequently removed to the mortuary at University Hospital Galway for a post-mortem examination.
