Fully electric car registrations in Clare are up by 56 percent on the same time last year.
New data released by the Society of the Motor Industry shows 249 such vehicles were newly documented here between January and November, up from 159 in the same period in 2021.

Diesel sales have declined by 14 percent in the same timeframe, while petrol car registrations have fallen by 5 percent.
Overall care registrations in Clare have remained fairly static, with 2,108 units registered so far in the county in 2022.
