Non-cancer and non-trauma related elective surgery has been postponed at the region's main hospital, resulting in a small number of beds becoming available.

26 people were waiting on trolleys at University Hosptial Limerick today, 18 of those in the emergency department.
Its one of a number of hospitals around the country that have cancelled non urgent elective surgeries, with Beaumont and the Matter in Dublin asking people to stay away from EDs.
Earlier Health Minister Leo Varadkar said people who have operations cancelled as hospitals try to deal with overcrowding will not be put back to the end of the queue.
