An elderly man had to be rescued from a second floor roof at University Hospital Limerick last night.

He was found at around a quarter past 11 – staff stayed with him until fire officers arrived a short time later.
The fire crew got him off the roof safely and no one was injured.
The HSE says it is reviewing the incident.
