Eir Announces Plans To Invest In Broadband Infrastructure In Clare

Eir says it's planning to invest 16 million euro in its broadband infrastructure in Clare.

The spending will come between now and 2020, and the company says it will allow an additional 14,000 homes here to gain access to fibre broabdand.

In the short-term, communities including Bridgetown, Bunratty, Carron, Inagh, Miltown Malbay and Mullagh are being promised fibre access with speeds of up to 100 megabytes per second by early 2017.
