Eight Syrian families will arrive in Clare in late January or early February.
They'll be the second group of families to relocate here as part of the Government's committment under the EU Relocation Programme, and they're to be located in the North Clare area.
It has previously been said that one hundred Syrian refugees are being relocated in Clare as part of Ireland's efforts to help ease the European refugee crisis.
The first group of nine families arrived last June, with houses provided by the local authority in Shannon and Sixmilebridge, paid for from within council's social housing budget.
Now, Clare County Council has confirmed that the second group are expected to arrive in the county in late January or early February, with the timing of their arrival being dictated by the Department of Justice.
They'll be relocated to the North of the county, though the exact location is not yet known.
