Eight Clare Walking Routes To Receive Funding Boost

Almost 150,000 euro has been announced for significant improvements to walking routes around the county.

Clare’s Fine Gael TD, Joe Carey has confirmed that eight walking routse in Clare are to benefit from funding announced by the Department of Rural and Community Development.

Cahermurphy Looped Walk, the 12 O’Clock Hills, the Cliffs of Moher Coastal Walk, Miltown Malbay River and West Clare Railway Walk will all receive a cash injection.

The Shannon Embankment Walk Drumeely Access Upgrade, Ballybeg Woods, Clooney House Walking Trail and Ballyvaughan Wood Loop will also benefit.

It’s hoped the funding will play an important role in further developing walking facilities on offer across the county.
