It’s hoped future generations of a West Clare community can be proud of a local landmark once it undergoes much-needed upgrade works.
An online fundraiser has been launched on iDonate to raise money for the restoration of Cloonanaha Church.

The striking structure, which boasts Italianate neo-Gothic architecture, was built in 1936 and held its first mass in 1937.
Local woman Mary Crawford, who’s one of 17 to have volunteered for the newly-formed committee, says she wants locals to enjoy the building for decades to come.
