Efforts are underway to ensure an iconic Clare traditional music festival doesn’t “drown in its own success”.
The West Clare Municipal District has revealed that parking restrictions will be in effect along Miltown Malbay’s main street for this year’s Scoil Samhraidh Willie Clancy.
Additional parking has been identified in other parts of the town while portable toilets and extra bins will also be put in place.
Cathaoirleach of the West Clare MD, Lahinch Fine Gael Councillor Bill Slattery, says the success of last year’s festival highlighted the need for a number of improvements.
And you can hear more on this on Clare FM’s Morning Focus this Friday morning from 9am.
