Efforts to re-install diving boards in Kilkee are continuing, though Clare County Council has not confirmed whether they'll be put in place this summer.

There have been no diving boards at Newfoundout since 2014, when they there were damaged and while local fundraising saw new one purchased last year, they weren't installed as it was not possible to get certification to use them outdoors.
Council Director of Service Anne Haugh has said the local authority has concerns over Health and Safety with regards to diving there, but that they are still speaking with specialists on the matter.
Local businessman Manuel Di Lucia has been telling me the delay is hugley frustrating.
