Shannon Group says talks are continuing with Norweigan Air international on details of transatlantic flights at Shannon Airport.

It comes as the low cost carrier has been given a licence to operate flights between Ireland and the US, despite concerns expressed on both sides of the Atlantic that the company would attempt to circumvent labour laws.

Shannon began negotiations with the airline in 2014 and the airport says both parties are continuing to hammer out the detail of proposed services.

Chief Commerical Officer with Shannon Group Andrew Murphy says its an exciting development for the airport
