UL Students Cannot Be Left Out Of Pocket Because Of COVID-19 – Carey

Clare’s Fine Gael TD insists students at the University of Limerick cannot be left out of pocket with accommodation bills due to the coronavirus.

UL’s governing body is to consider issuing partial refunds to students, following the example of other colleges including University College Cork, after being shut down due to the virus pandemic.

It’s meant that thousands of students have had to leave their campus accommodation early, despite having paid until the end of the academic year.

Clarecastle Deputy Joe Carey has been assured the issue will be looked at by UL’s board and he says it’s important to follow through on that commitment.
