Ennis Secondary School To Undergo Major Refurbishment

An Ennis secondary school is to undergo a major refurbishment of its school campus.

Rice College is to see 13 new mainstream classrooms come to fruition, along with four special education rooms and nine new subject-specific rooms.

It’s understood those rooms will be used for subjects such as home economics and construction studies, with the works now having been given the green light by the Department of Education.

The school was founded back in 1826 by the Christian Brothers and is believed to have over 700 pupils currently enrolled.
