An Ennis principal insists online safety must be central to the primary school curriculum going forward.

It comes as the draft specifications have been revealed for the new primary school curriculum which is open to public consultation until June 7th and represents the biggest overhaul to the curriculum in 25 years.

A key component of the proposed changes is wellbeing which would entail new areas such as consent, diversity of family structures and digital wellbeing.
