Clare ASTI Rep Accuses Education Minister Of ‘Reneging’ On Vaccine Rollout

Clare’s ASTI representative says the Minister of Education has ‘reneged on her promises’ on the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccine.

A joint motion will be filed at the country’s three teacher union conferences today, which would potentially see them take strike action over the change to the vaccine priority list.

Education Minister Norma Foley has ruled out a u-turn from government on the matter, saying the decision was taken because older people are more likely to die from COVID-19 than younger people.
