McNamara Calls On Government To Put Plans In Place For Heritage Sites

Clare’s Independent TD says the government need to put plans in place now for Clare’s heritage sides to open next year.

The decision has been reached to close sites including Bunratty Castle and King John’s Castle in Limerick from January until April, with other Oireachtas members in this county claiming the Government is committed to doing everything it can to keeping the sites operational.

Shannon Group says it regrets the move, with their focus now on protecting employees’ jobs in the long term.
