Hopes Of Deal To Save Shannon Pharmaceuticals Firm

Talks are continuing with a view to completing a deal that could see Avara Pharmaceuticals in Shannon remain in business.

It’s understood that a UK-based Equity firm has been in advanced talks to invest in Avara, which has been in liquidation since July.

Further talks are to be held in the coming days, and union sources have insisted that no deal has been completed as of yet.

However, Clare Fine Gael Junior Minister Pat Breen is hopeful that the deal can be finalised shortly.
