The President of Ennis Chamber is calling on the Government not to implement any ‘knee jerk’ measures for businesses when it unveils Budget 2022 tomorrow.

Substantial tax and welfare packages are expected to deal with the rising cost of living that could cost around a billion euro.

Employers in this county and elsewhere will also be looking for clarity on how long the Employment Wage Subsidy Scheme will be maintained for in its current form.

Ennis Chamber President and county town publican Darragh McAllister says the business landscape has changed, and wants the Government to plan accordingly.
