Clare VFI Chair Hopeful That Suspension Of Rates Will Help Some Pubs Stay Afloat

The Clare Chair of the VFI is expressing hope that the suspension of commercial rates for pubs during this pandemic will help some businesses stay afloat.

The Vintners Federation of Ireland has welcomed the move, which was confirmed by the government this week.

Many pub owners had expressed concern that being forced to pay their normal rates, along with rent and bills, at a time when no money is coming in would see them fold.
