Clare Publicans Call For Rescue Package

Clare publicans are calling for a rescue package for businesses that have been forced to remain closed in light of the covid-19 pandemic.

50 members of the Clare Vintners met with the county’s TDs and Senators at the Old Ground Hotel in Ennis last night, to make their case on what’s needed to help them survive during this uncertain time.

Pubs that don’t serve food were due to open yesterday as part of Phase 4 of reopening the country, but that has been pushed back to August 31st at the earliest.
