Brexit Behind Increase In IDA Site Visits To Clare – Breen

Clare’s Junior Minister says Britain’s upcoming exit from the EU is leading to a significant increase in interest from foreign companies in investing in this county.

Figures released by the IDA show that 17 overseas companies have visited Clare so far this year with a view to investing here.

That’s already four more than last year’s total, while the figure of 17 has only been surpassed in two out of the past ten years.

While the boost has received a welcome in Clare, the IDA says it’s important to note that site visits are just one measure of a company’s interest in particular locations.
