Over 300 people in Clare have been receiving Jobseeker’s Allowance for at least the past 10 years.

The 309 jobseekers are among just over 14,000 across the country receiving the support for at least a decade, the highest number of those in Dublin, followed by Cork and Donegal.

The Department of Social Protection says a further 391 people in this county have been getting the payment for between six and ten years.
