New figures from SIMI show there were nearly 2,000 new car registrations here between January and March, a year-on-year rise of 29%.
That's slightly higher than the national average of 28%.
Eddie Rynne of Shiels Car Sales in Ennis says attractive finance and scrappage deals have also contibuted to the growth in sales here.
