A senior figure within United Airlines made the comments as the carrier announced that it’s to nearly double capacity on it’s route from Shannon to Chicago, which will operate from an extended period next summer.
The route had only begun in 2013, and United’s announcement means thousands more visitors will fly into Ireland through Shannon next year.
