The inquiry holds its first public hearing this morning, after being told last night that the Euroepan Central Bank will not be coming.

The bank says it would not be "appropriate" to attend inquiries being run by national parliaments.

Committee chairman Ciaran Lynch says he's disappointed – and he'll be urging the bank to think again.
