East Clare’s newest councillor is hoping to bring about major improvement to special needs education, youth facilities and infrastructure in rural areas.
O’Callaghan’s Mills farmer Conor Ryan has been selected to be co-opted to the council seat vacated by TD Joe Cooney, following a Fine Gael selection convention last night.
A special meeting of the local authority will take place on Thursday to formally ratify the 33-Year Old’s position, along with that of Sinn Féín’s James Ryan who will replace TD Donna McGettigan.
Conor has been telling Clare FM’s Daragh Dolan that a key focus will also be tackle the spread of TB and storm responses on local farms.
