East Clare Parent Fears History Could Repeat Itself Regarding School Bus Driver Shortages

An East Clare parent fears history could repeat itself regarding school bus driver shortages if the system isn’t dramatically overhauled.

Bus Éireann has confirmed that following weeks of uncertainty for school-goers whose bus routes were cancelled due to driver scarcity, transport arrangements have been sourced for Cratloe to Shannon post-primary, Corofin to Ennis post-primary and Ruan primary.

Meanwhile, the national public transport provider says particular pressure has been placed on its local routes this year owing to an increase of 7% in tickets issued to eligible and concessionary pupils in this county.
