47-year-old Ignatius O'Riordan from Killaloe, but living in Kilkishen, suffers with constant back pain following an accident 14 years ago.
The father-of-three was fitted with what's called a spinal cord stimulator in 2007, which gives him some relief, but the battery within the internally-fitted device ran out a year ago, and another operation is required to fix it.
Ignatious says he's now finding it extremely difficult to cope.
