An East Clare Councillor is calling for Irish Water to expedite works at a waste-water treatment plant in Newmarket-on-Fergus.
Permission to construct a 51 unit housing development in Ballynacragga, Newmarket-on-Fergus, was previously refused due to inadequate sewerage infrastructure.

Irish Water has yet to submit a planning application to complete the necessary upgrade works at the treatment plant.
Newmarket On-Fergus based Fianna Fáil Councillor, Pat McMahon, insists the works need to be completed as a matter of urgency in light of the housing crisis facing the country.
