An East Clare Community is said to be rallying behind the family of an elderly woman who tragically lost her life in a road accident yesterday.
The woman, who was in her 80s, was fatally injured after being struck by a car near her home in Knockaveen near Scarriff shortly before 9am on Sunday morning.
It brings to seven the number of people who have died on the roads in Clare so far this year.
