The Kilmaley-based Executive Director of Trócaire has described the famine in East Africa as the worst humanitarian crisis since World War 2.

Trócaire is holding special collections at masses across the county this weekend as part of it’s national fundraising campaign.

25 million people in several countries in East Africa are facing starvation because of an ongoing drought.
