Clarecastle is to receive 95,000 euro in funding provided under the Town and Village Renewal Scheme.

Last month, Minister Heather Humphries announced 380,000 euro in funding for Clare under the scheme, which will be divided equally among the four municipal districts.
Three districts are yet to decide how to spend the money, however Ennis area councillors have voted to give their share of the funding to projects in Clarecastle.
Local councillor Paul Murphy is delighted with the decision.
