€7.6m Raised During Last Year’s Trocaire Lenten Campaign

Irish people raised 7.6 million euro for Trócaire during Lent last year.

The charity’s 44th annual Lenten campaign kicks off today, which will see Trócaire boxes distributed to schools, clubs and homes across the country.

This year’s campaign will focus on the charity’s emergency work, particularly responding to crises such as natural disasters.

Executive Director of Trócaire, Kilmaley man Eamonn Meehan says these include weather-related crisis, or crisis caused by drought leading to famine.
