€6.8 million in funding has been announced this lunchtime for Shannon Airport.
Minister of State at the Department of Transport, Hildegarde Naughton, has confirmed the allocation under the Regional Airports Programme 2021 to 2025.
The funding will cover all eligible salary costs in the areas of safety, security and air traffic control in Shannon in 2022.
