€5K In Funding Delivered To Support Participation Of Women And Diversity in Clare Local Elections

Over five thousand euro in funding has been earmarked for Clare County Council to support the participation of women and diversity in next year’s local elections.

It’s part of a more than 200,000 euro fund announced by Minister for Local Government and Planning today for 26 local authorities across the country, and on regional women’s caucus.

The funding announced today is an integral part of a broader programme of initiatives aimed at encouraging gender balance and diversity at local government level.

The highest funding allocation of 15,000 euro has been allocated to Limerick City and County Council, while Clare will receive 5,200 euro.
