€50,000 worth of herbal cannabis has been seized at Shannon Airport.
As a result of risk profiling, Revenue Officers at Shannon Airport seized 2.5 kgs of the substance.

The illicit drugs, with an estimated value of €50,000, were discovered in parcels originating from the USA and were destined for an address in Tipperary.
The seizure marks the third occasion this month that revenue officers have seized narcotics at Shannon.
Investigations are ongoing.
