€34 million Allocated For Killaloe Bypass In Capital Plan

34 million euro in funding has been allocated for the Killaloe Bypass under the government’s Capital Plan Review.

It follows confirmation by Clare County Council in recent weeks that works on the long-awaited project will commence late this year or early next year.

The Shannon Crossing Bridge at Killaloe has also been included in the Government’s capital plan and will move to construction on a phased basis in the coming years.

Along with the central funding, €500,000 has been allocated towards the acquisition of land for the new infrastructure.

Upgrade work will also be carried out on the R494 from Ballina to the N7 at Birdhill under the plan.
