More Than €2m In Govt Funding Announced For Clare Rural Roads And Laneways

Over two million euro in Government funding has been granted to Clare County Council for repairs and improvement works on non-public rural roads and laneways.

It comes as part of a record 40 million euro allocation under the Local Improvement Scheme, which has been announced by Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys today.

The allocation of funds is for works to be carried out across 2024 and 2025 on roads not normally maintained by the local authorities

Clare has received one of the highest allocations in the country, with only Cork, Donegal, Galway, Kerry, Mayo and Tipperary receiving a higher portion of the funding.
