Gardaí have seized 2,500 euro worth of drugs, after they stopped a car at a checkpoint in Clare.
Gardaí were conducting a checkpoint under Operation Fanacht at Skehanagh, Clarecastle on Saturday evening and during the course of a search of a vehicle, a quantity of Cannabis Herb was uncovered.
Both the driver and passenger were arrested at the scene.

They were subesquently released from Garda custody, without charge, with a file being sent to the DPP.
The drugs have been forwarded to the Forensic Science Laboratory for analysis.
