Clare County Council has been allocated €2.5 million in funding to tackle vacancy and dereliction across the county.
It’s part of the third round of the 150 million euro Urban Regeneration and Development Fund announced by Housing Minister Daragh O’Brien today.

The funding allows local authorities to acquire vacant or derelict properties which aren’t on the market or the market hasn’t repsponded to and then offer these properties for private sale to individuals who in return will commit to bringing the property into use as a home.
