€2.1m In Funding Allocated Towards Greenway Projects In Clare

Over 2.1 million euro in funding has been allocated by Transport Infrastructure Ireland towards greenway projects in Clare.

Though not yet at construction phase, Clare County Council has a number of projects in development and this funding will be used to advance these projects to the planning and design stage.

950,000 has been earmarked for four sections of the West Clare Railway Greenway; from Kilrush to Kilkee, Ennis to Enistymon, Ennistymon to Miltown Malbya and Miltown to Moyasta.

780,000 has been allocated towards the Limerick to Scariff Greenway/Blueway, with the remaining 300,000 going towards the greenway that will run from Shannon to Bunratty, Sixmilebridge and Limerick.
