Clare County Council is spending 19 thousand euro on sending a delegation to China this weekend.

Five Councillors and two Council officials will take part in the trip which will mark the beginning of a formal relationship between Clare and China's Yunnan Province.
It won't amount to a full twinning arrangement, but supporters are confident that the closer ties with China will benefit Clare and Ireland.
One of those, Council Cathaoirleach John Crowe, feels the money spent by the Council here is worthwhile.
