Revenue officers have seized 14 thousand euro from a passenger at Shannon Airport.

The Chinese woman in her twenties was stopped and questioned following routine profiling, before boarding a flight to London Heathrow for onward travel to Hong Kong.
The money was seized as it was suspected to be the proceeds of, or intended for use in, criminal activity.
Today, at Ennis District Court, a three month detention order was granted to allow Revenue investigate the matter further.
