Dublin City Council says its water restrictions aren’t working as well as they had hoped – and it may now be well into next week before normal service resumes.

More than 1.5 million people across Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow are affected by the restrictions which are scheduled to end on Monday – although that target may now not be met.
