A Dublin man has appeared in court in connection with the sending of a pig’s head to the home of a Clare Garda.

Kilrush District Court has heard that Brendan Mahoney of Cabra Park, Dubin 7 is accused of posting a packge on January 26th last which contained the animal’s head.
A book of evidence was served against the 45-year-old, who will next appear before Ennis Circuit Court in October.
He was granted bail, and ordered to stay out of County Clare while on remand.
