Dublin Family Abducted And Falsely Imprisoned In Tiger Kidnapping

A Dublin family has been abducted and falsely imprisoned in north Dublin in a tiger kidnapping.

Two women were taken from their home in Artane and were tied up in the back of a van and taken to Co. Meath.

Meanwhile, a man from the house was forced to go to work at a cash in transit company and hand over a substantial sum of money at a business premises near Dublin airport.

The women were taken from their home on the Gracefield Road in Artane around 5 o'clock this morning, tied up and taken to a location in Dunboyne in Co. Meath.

Gardai say the women were discovered by officers after they were driven around for a number of hours in what's described as a white or silver Volswagen Caddy van with the partial reg plate 09-D.

Meanwhile, a man from the house was forced to go to work at a cash in transit company and hand over a substantial sum of money at a business premises near Dublin airport.

Gardai are appealing to anybody who saw  any suspicions activity in the Artane Roundabout and Gracefield Road area between 8 o'clock last night and 8 o'clock this morning.

Gardaí are also appealing for information on a small white box type van which was parked in the vicinity of Corballis Road Business Park, Dublin Airport between 7am and 8.30am this morning.
